STEAM School – Bringing immersive education to learners in the Kawartha Lakes

For over a decade, Ampere has offered STEAM education, resources and learning opportunities to youth in the City of Kawartha Lakes, in our Lindsay Makerspace, in schools and with community partners.

Over the years, we’ve been asked repeatedly about opportunities for youth to dive deeper – to access more enriched STEAM education and learning experiences, like those available to students in urban centres.

STEAM School creates this opportunity by supplementing your child’s education with immersive, enriched science, technology, engineering, art and math programming, up to two days a week.

Offered throughout the school year, STEAM School lets learners in Grades 4 through 6:

• Advance their knowledge of STEAM subjects, building a foundation for future growth.

• Gain a deeper understanding of our STEAM-powered world and how they can contribute to it in meaningful ways.

• Explore their interests in an inclusive, culturally responsive community of like-minded peers, building relationships and a sense of belonging.

• Leverage the latest learning tools, technology and resources, in an innovative learning environment.

About Ampere

Working alongside rural, remote, Indigenous, and other communities, Ampere delivers programs for people of all ages to cultivate STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) skills through innovative technology, art, and play.
