STEAM School is led by a certified educator and supported by Ampere’s passionate team of STEAM experts. Class sizes are kept small to ensure a maximum student to teacher ratio of 14:1.

Colton Eddy
STEAM School EducatorColton is the lead educator for the STEAM School program. Colton’s previous experience at local school boards, BGC Kawarthas, and as a part-time barista, combined with knowledge shared by countless teachers, has prepared him to learn alongside all STEAM School participants.
Kaya Truax
Makerspace LeadKaya leads the operations and processes of our Lindsay Makerspace and STEAM School. Kaya’s multifaceted experience, encompassing education, administration, community engagement, and non-profit work equips her with a unique skill set that aligns perfectly with her current role as Makerspace Lead in Kawartha Lakes.
Steve Blair
Senior Digital Skills EducatorSteve has been teaching coding, digital skills, and new media workshops for learners ages 5 to 95 through various non-profits since 2006. Steve is the Senior Digital Skills Educator in the Kawarthas region where he teaches workshops on various STEAM topics to kids, teens, and adults.
