Welcome to STEAM School

STEAM School creates opportunities for grade 4-6 students in the Kawartha Lakes to dive deeper into science, technology, engineering, art and math (STEAM) education, exploring their passions, preparing them for our STEAM-powered world.

STEAM School enrolment is now open for the September to January semester. Space is extremely limited.

Education for our
STEAM-Powered World

STEAM School, founded and administered by the Pinnguaq Association, lets students explore real-world challenges, while developing and applying critical thinking skills. Located in Lindsay, Ontario at Pinnguaq’s new 3,500 square foot Makerspace, STEAM School gives youth the chance to dive deeper into STEAM subjects, with guest speakers and the latest learning technology.

Free Discovery Days and STEAM School Enrolment

STEAM School enrolment is now open for the October to January semester. We’re also excited to offer Free Discovery Days in September to give learners and parents the opportunity to experience a day of steam school first-hand, to determine if enrolment is right for them.

Free Discovery Days

This September, you have the opportunity to experience STEAM School for free, to help determine if you’d like to enrol your learner.

We’re offering multiple free school days that are exactly like the regular STEAM experience – register your learner to attend, and see if STEAM School is a fit for them!

About Pinnguaq

For over a decade, Pinnguaq has offered STEAM education, resources and learning opportunities to youth in the City of Kawartha Lakes, in our Lindsay Makerspace, in schools and with community partners. By opening STEAM School, we are offering an enriched science, technology, engineering, art and math (STEAM) education, and a learner-centred, play-based learning approach, in the heart of the Kawartha Lakes.

STEAM School offers the latest learning technology, expert guest speakers, unique learning experiences and a welcoming environment where students intrigued by STEAM subjects can flourish. Pinnguaq is excited to launch the first STEAM School in the City of Kawartha Lakes.
